Anthony Chirayath received the priestly ordination on 2 January 1970. Pope Benedict XVI appointed Bishop of Sagar on February 2, 2006.

The great archbishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly, Varkey Cardinal Vithayathil CSsR, consecrated him to the bishop on the 25th of that year; Co-conspirators were Jacob Thoomkuzhy, Archbishop of Trichur, and Joseph Pastor Neelankavil CMI, archbishop of Sagar. Weblinks Edit sourcetext
