Anna Goldsteiner
Anna Goldsteiner, 1944
Anna Goldsteiner (* 17 June 1899 in Vienna, † 5 July 1944 ibid) was an Austrian resistance fighter against the Nazi regime.
Anna Goldsteiner had made her apartment available in Pulkau for conspiratorial meetings of Schlurfs, which were named "the faithful secession of the Alps and Donaureichsgaue from the Great German Reich" under the terms "eternally faithful to my Austria". In December 1943 a total of 14 members of the group were arrested. The Gestapo accused the removal of propaganda maps, preparations for explosives and plans for the removal of the mayor and the political leaders of the NSDAP in Pulkau. Anna Goldsteiner was sentenced to death by the Oberlandesgericht of Vienna on April 17, 1944, for "preparation for high treason and the destruction of the army", and on July 5, 1944. She is buried at the Vienna Central Cemetery. Weblinks Edit sourcetext Single-level Edit source text
