Porto Colom lighthouse

The Faro de Porto Colom is located in the Porto Colom neighborhood of the Mallorcan town of Felanich. Its tower measures 25 m and reaches 42 m of height above sea level.

Its construction is included in the General Plan of Marking of the Coasts and Ports of Spain of 1861. In 1918 the tower is increased by 6.5 m in order to achieve a greater reach and the original lantern is changed by another cylindrical of inclined uprights. In 1965 the signal was electrified and to avoid interference of the light beams with the nearby buildings, a new regrowth of the 10 m tower takes place.
