Joachim of Vintzelberg
Göran (Georg) Rothman (born November 30, 1739 in Husebybruk Småland, Sweden, December 3, 1778) was a Swedish naturalist and physician. His botanical author's is "Rothman". Edit LifeQualtext
His father Johan Stensson Rothman was professor of logic and physics at Växjö school. Carl von Linné also went to school there. Georg Rothman studied from the University of Uppsala in 1757 and promoted to Carl von Linné (Linnaeus). On 27 May 1763 he defended his dissertation with the topic: Raphania.
His research led him to the Åland Islands in 1765 and to Libya and Tunisia from 1773 to 1776. After his return he worked as a doctor in Stockholm.
