Amadou Tidjane Bal
Ahmedou Tidjane Bal (Kaédi, 15 April 1949) is a politician and jurist of Mauritania.
He studied law at the University of Algiers and the University Mohamed V, where he obtained his doctorate, and was also a professor at the University of Bordeaux during the training period.
He has been an attorney in the Mauritanian capital, Legal Adviser to the United Nations Office in Burundi (2005), working closely with the UN on missions and missions in that country, as well as in Kenya and Somalia. President of the High Audiovisual Authority of Mauritania (2006). In July 2008 he was appointed Minister of Justice in the government of Yahya Ould Ahmed Waghf. Following the August coup that deposed President Sidi Mohamed Uld Cheij Abdallahi and the Prime Minister, he supported the military junta and was reappointed Minister in the government emerged from the coup, with Prime Minister Mulay Uld Mohamed Laghdaf
He is a founding member of the African Association of Lawyers and the Mauritanian League for Human Rights.
