Aegean Culture

The concept of the Aegean culture was characterized by the folklore art historian Reinhold von Lichtenberg and is no longer used in research today. Lichtenberg understood the cultural area around the Aegean before the alleged migration of Greek tribes into the area. It covers a period which can be seen today from the Late Neolithic Period to the Middle Bronze Age, from about 3000 to 1500 BC, .
