Seth Putterman
Seth Putterman (* 1945) is an American physicist.
He studied physics at the Cooper Union in New York and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in Pasadena. He graduated in 1966. In 1970, he graduated from Rockefeller University in New York under George Uhlenbeck (postulation of the electron spin and quantization in 1925).
Putterman now works as a professor of physics and astronomy at the California Nanosystems Institute of the University of California (UCLA). His research focuses on energy-focused phenomena in non-linear, continuous systems. His main interest is in turbulence, sonoluminescence, sonofusion and pyrofusion.
1997 wurde er Fellow der American Physical Society.
