Priscilla Moreno
A singer of Brazilian and Panamanian origin (November 24, 1979), she was born in Panama City, and from an early age showed interest and passion for music.
At the age of 9 she wrote her first song called "the years go by" but it was not when she turned 15 that she participated as a singer in the youth talent festival in 1996, winning the prize for best unpublished song with the theme "Losing You ". She then adopted the stage name "Garota" (girl in Portuguese) and began recording her songs independently at Insomnio Studios, under the production of Pablo Quintero. At the beginning of 2004 he released the first single of this future production titled "Delirando", which happened almost unnoticed by the media, but in the middle of the same year he released the simple Funky Night which contains an excerpt from the rap of the song "Goma" of Tres Leches and whose promotional video under the direction of Erik Cotrina gave the necessary impetus to obtain the attention of the media and the public in Panama.
In October 2004, Rolling Stone Latinomérica magazine cataloged it as one of the promises for 2005 in the region and in December won the Best Female Performer and Artist of the Year awards at the 2004 PanamaRock Awards, which consecrated it as one of the artists of the year.
In March 2005, he released his debut CD titled "Funky Night" which contains 11 songs of his own making and whose simple tip is the theme "Hipnotízame", accompanied by a promotional video directed by Alberto Serra, winner of the PanamaRock 2003 award for best video of the year by the band "Polyphase". In November of that year she was invited by the international radio station EXA to appear at the International Fair of El Salvador, where she shared the stage with artists of the stature of Natalia Lafourcade, Reik and The Symbol.
