Markus Baltensperger began his career in the 1980s. At the age of fifteen, the native Southern Baden founded his first band as guitarist and singer. Soon after, he became aware of his musical talent, and a little later he was taken to a soul band, which quickly gained regional prestige.
At the same time, he completed a technical training course. In the US he completed a practice-oriented music studies at the "Musicians Institute" in Los Angeles. After his return to Germany, he settled in Hamburg and wrote his own songs, ranging from jazz, rock, pop, R & B and country. He interprets songs from Al Jarreau or James Taylor to Sting, Stevie Wonder and Bob Marley. In the meantime he played, a. with Indra Afia, Trixi Delgado, Bonny Ferrer & amp; The Latin Souls and Inusas Groove Factory.
In 2007 his debut album "Classic Covers" was released with purely acoustic instruments, which attracted Nena's attention. She invited him to record the guitars on her album "Heaven, Sun, Wind and Rain". Through his work in various sound studios, he became a producer.
He continues to perform solo or with his band. The band also includes musicians such as Jörg Berger (Drums, Bonny Ferrer & The Latin Souls), Leandro Saint-Hill (Sax & Flute, Hope Musical, Tony Martínez, Omar Sosa), Pablo Escayola (Percussion, Stefan Gwildis Band, Zinoba, Nils Gessinger, Mustafa Sandal, James Last) or the Australian David Christopher from the Queen Tribute Band or Ricardo Alvarez Cuba (Key, Cubanisimo / Cuateto Chanchull).
