Interview (revista)

Interview co-founder Andy Warhol.

Interview is a magazine created by artist Andy Warhol and Gerard Malanga in the United States in 1969. Dedicated to celebrity worship, it includes interviews and avant-garde images of famous people. These interviews used to be published as such, but when they were edited they were given the eccentric style used in Warhol's books. Susan Blond was the first person in charge of publicity of the magazine.

Some copies of Interview were often given to "fashion people" to encourage them to contribute.

Towards the end of his life, Warhol was abandoning his daily supervision of the magazine. It began to show the fashion elite's point of view (under the Bob Colacello edition) and to introduce a more stylized editorial style. However, Warhol continued to act as the magazine's "ambassador," delivering copies to pedestrians and organizing ad hoc events on the streets of Manhattan.

The magazine - adapted as "The crystal ball of popular culture" - has continued in a similar format: 30% content and 70% advertisement. It began to be published by Brant Publications Inc. shortly after Warhol died in 1987.
