VE 210 Rubis is the name of a two-stage French trial rocket. As a first stage the Rubis uses an Agate, as second stage a P064. The Rubis has a peak altitude of 2000 kilometers, a starting thrust of 186.00 kN, a diameter of 0.80 m and a length of 9.60 m. The Rubis was launched eleven times from 10 June 1964 to 5 July 1967. All Rubis missiles were launched by the Center interarmées d'essais d'engins spéciaux in Algeria, with the exception of the last launch of Biscarrosse. It served to test the upper stage of the later diamond rocket.
It belonged to the French VE (Vehicles Experimental) program for the development of airborne, silo or submarine-supported ICBM or the development of carrier rockets, including the VE8, VE910, A111, VE111 Topaze , VE121 Emeraude and the VE231 Saphir. These rockets were developed from 1959 on the instructions of de Gaulle by the company SEREB, founded in September 1959 (Societe pour l'Etude et la Realization d'Engins Balistiques).
