Rudolf Klein (architect)




Rudolf Klein (* 1955 in Subotica) is a Hungarian architect and, since 2005, Professor of Modern Architectural History at the Szent István University, Miklós Ybl Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering in Budapest.

Rudolf Klein was an architect at a construction company from 1979 to 1985. From 1986 to 1991 he was a professor at the University of Novi Sad. From 1991 to 1993 he was a guest professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and 1994 guest professor at the Kyoto University of Technology. From 1995 to 1997 he became a guest professor at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. From 1996 to 2006 he was Professor of Architectural History at the University of Tel Aviv, and since 2005 Rudolf Klein has been researching and teaching in Budapest. Its main focus is on the 19th and 20th centuries and, above all, the synagogue architecture in Central Europe.
