Rudolf Gräffer (* 1764 in Vienna, † 1817 ibid.) was an Austrian publisher.
Gräffer was the younger brother of the bookseller Franz Gräffer. In spite of Metternich's censorship, Gräffer tried to publish and disseminate the works of especially foreign writers.
He was also the first publisher in the Austrian empire, which imported and used large-scale veneer paper. Prior to this were longer study trips to print shops and publishing houses in the UK and the Netherlands.
His success came to an end when he founded a joint action company with the writer Aloys Blumauer. Edit source text Standard data (person): GND: 100492592 (PICA, AKS) | LCCN: no2010047567 VIAF: 47109934 | Wikipedia People Search
