Olympic Fire (magazine)

Olympic Fire (OF) is a magazine of the German Olympic Society (DOG). The magazine deals with Olympic and related topics from the fields of sport, society, culture and history.

The magazine is published four times a year in a circulation of 5000 copies (as of 02/2013). It is not available at the kiosk, but is offered to members of the DOG. The first edition was published in 1951, and the chief editor was at that time a sports officer, Carl Diem.

The editorial board consists of Michael Gernandt and Steffen Haffner, both former sports officers of the Süddeutsche Zeitung and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. The magazine is designed by a four-headed editorial team from Dreieicher Peter Kühne Verlag (as of 03/2014), but the articles also come from athletes or officials. Weblinks Edit sourcetext
