Mayer River

The Mayer River is a bi-national river course that pours its waters into the Pacific Ocean through the Pascua River in southern Chile. The basin, or water region of the Mayer River, in its upper section, was assigned to Argentina by means of the 1902 Award.

The Mayer River basin is made up of a lacustrine sub-basin organized around interconnected lakes, including Lake Belgrano. The most significant heights correspond to the Penitente hill (2,943 msnm), Volcán hill (2,260 msnm), Mount Tetris (2,245 msnm) and Cerro Pico de las Vacas (2,050 msnm).
