Josep Caminal

Josep Caminal i Badia (Barcelona, ​​1950) is a Spanish politician and director, general director of the Gran Teatro del Liceo in Barcelona from 1993 to 2005, and general director of the Godó Group from 2005 to the present.

He has held various public and private management positions, such as the General Manager of Local Government of Catalonia, general director of the Catalan Radio and Television Corporation, Councilor of the Barcelona City Council, director of the F.C. Barcelona and secretary of organization of Convergence Democratic of Catalonia (CDC).

In March 1993 he was appointed director general of the Gran Teatro del Liceo, a position he held until 2005. He was the promoter of the technical modernization of the theater and the commitment to new technologies and new ways of spreading the opera.
