Gustav Heinrich Selig

Gustav Heinrich Selig was the son of secretary Selig in Lüneburg. He studied law at the University of Göttingen and was a member of the Corps Hannovera Göttingen, according to the criminal records of the university of the year 1812. He took part in the liberation war in the Jägerbataillon Lüneburg. For his participation in the Battle of Waterloo, he received the Waterloo Medal (HWM). He joined the administrative service of the kingdom in 1819 as lieutenant of the Hanoverian army, and in 1824 became an assistant judge in Wennigsen, later in the office of Wittmund. From 1837 to 1852 Seligamtmann was from the Hanoverian office of Scharnebeck and then retired.
