White (price)

The Edelweiss was a national music prize awarded by the journal Frau Frau im Spiegel in Berlin in the years 1989 to 1993. The Edelweiss should be a synonym for the endangered plant species in Germany. The prize was occasionally also called "Oscar of the National Music".

On the occasion of the award ceremonies Galaveranations were held in the Berliner Deutschlandhalle, which were broadcast or recorded and broadcast by Sat.1 from 1991 onwards.
