Res publica is a Spanish film directed by José María Nunes in 2009. Argument

A man (José María Blanco) has been pondering his suicide for a long time. For him it is a way of protesting against the years that have come to live, a way to claim the freedom that he has not achieved throughout his life. True, he has always had an attitude of rebellion before reality, but there was a time when he loved women and became friends with a few people. Now, when he only has his father left, he is happy because he knows that the moment is approaching when he can finally be released.
