Former press house Düsseldorf
Received facade
From the former press house Düsseldorf, Martin-Luther-Platz 26 in Duesseldorf, only the monument protected façade remains.
The building in the style of conservative modernity stood in the tradition of North German brick architecture. It was designed in 1925/1926 by the architects Tietmann & amp; Haake. The two upper floors form a three-stage gable gable. A kind of tracery in the form of superimposed glare squares breaks through the gilding gables. The baking stone is subdivided by narrowly arranged stone piers. The building was damaged in the Second World War, but rebuilt. In 1990/1994 the press house was finally destroyed with the construction of the Schadow Arcades. Only the listed façade remained intact and was integrated into the new building.
