Asian conical hat
Vietnamesischer Helmet Kegelhüte in Hainan, China
The conical hat, also known as reishut, is a traditional Asian head covering, which is particularly common in Vietnam. The Vietnamese Nón lá is considered a landmark for Vietnam.
It is mainly made from rice tree or palm leaves and attached to the head by a fabric-made chin strap. It is used primarily as a protection against rain and strong sunshine. Due to its flat conical shape, it can also be used as a tray for transport or as a fan at high heat.
