Aaron Pakishe Motsoaledi (born August 7, 1958) is a South African politician of the African National Congress (ANC) and has been a health minister since May 2009. Edit LifeQualtext
After attending the Setotolwane High School in North Transvaal, Motsoaledi studied medicine and surgery at the University of Natal and completed his studies with a bachelor's degree in medicine and a bachelor's degree in surgery. Subsequently he was chairman of the advisory office in the later district Greater Sekhukhune between 1986 and 1994. Since 1989, he has also been chairman of the health and nutrition consultancy project Hlahlolanang.
He also started his political career in the ANC in the early 1990s and was vice-chairman of the ANC in Northern Transvaal between 1991 and 1992. After he became head of the research and advisory council of the ANC in the province of Limpopo in 1994, he has been chairman of the election committee of the ANC since 1994. He is also a member of the National Executive Committee as well as Head of the Economic and Infrastructure Division of the ANC.
Motsoaledi, who has been a member of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Limpopo since 1994, became a member of the Provincial Government of Limpopo Province in 1994 and retained this function until 1997. After becoming a member of the Executive Council for Transport, he has been a member of Limpopo Provincial Government for Agriculture, Agriculture and Environment since 1999.
