Valley of the Paraíba

The Paraíba Valley (in Portuguese: Paraíba Valley) is located in the eastern part of the state of São Paulo along the Presidente Dutra Highway (BR-101), between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.

The region forms the watershed of the Rio Paraíba del Sur, which flows down to Rio de Janeiro.

This region includes a high-rise industrial park and a space station. The cities of the valley include São José dos Campos, Taubaté, Jacareí, Lorena, Pindamonhangaba, Cruzeiro and Guaratinguetá.
