Uruguayan Football Federation
The Uruguayan Football Federation (FUF) was a federation of Uruguayan football clubs that existed parallel to the Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) during the amateur era of Uruguayan football. It was founded in 1923 within the framework of the schism of Uruguayan football, which originates with the AUF de Penarol and Central disaffiliation during the championship of 1922. It organized championships in parallel with this organization between 1923 and 1926. In 1926, through the intervention of the Uruguayan government and by the so-called "Serrato Award", it was possible to impose the merger of the FUF and the old AUF into a single federation.
