Gerhard Wedepohl

Gerhard Wedepohl (* 1893 in Schönebeck near Bremen, Germany) was a German painter, draftsman, eraser and illustrator. He studied with Johann Vincenz Cissarz and Alexander Eckener at the Stuttgart Academy. His motifs were mainly landscapes, his works are attributed to the so-called "Heimatstil". Wedepohl became famous for his succession of drawings for individual cities (Alt-Minden, Alt-Herford, Bielefeld, Melle, Münster, Osnabrück, Ravensberg, and others).
