Feliciano Polanco Araujo
Feliciano Polanco Araujo was a Mexican military man who participated in the Mexican Revolution. He was born in Tlayacapan, Morelos. He was the son of Jesus Polanco and Anastacia Araujo. He married at age 17 with Felix Castro and moved to Yautepec, Morelos. In May 1911 he joined the Maderist forces under the orders of Lucio Moreno. In 1913 he was taken prisoner and taken to the north. In the first attack against the Villistas, Polanco moved on to the rebel side, thus integrating the forces of the Northern Division. He operated under the orders of Maclovio Herrera, with whom he became a lieutenant colonel. He later joined the Zapatista forces and acted under the orders of generals Diego Ruiz and Amador Salazar. In 1920, to the triumph of the movement of Agua Prieta, it joined the Mexican Army in the division commanded by Genovevo of the O. From 1927 to 1929 was head of Auxiliary Forces of the state of Morelos and fought to the cristeros rebels; after 1930 he devoted himself to agriculture. He died in Cuernavaca, Morelos on October 21, 1943. Bibliography
