Maserati Biturbo

Maserati Biturbo

The Maserati Biturbo is a luxury car produced by Italian manufacturer Maserati between 1981 and 1994.

All Biturbo carry the figure "4" in their name, except the Maserati 222; and the model is based on the 2-door Biturbo (222) with a wide wheelbase. They were available in several "versions": eleven different models, each equipped with a version of the V6 Biturbo (2,0 L, 2,5 L and 2,8 L) that belongs to it. In addition to being quite successful as a general model some versions are very rare, for example, the 4.18v was built 77 times and was sold exclusively in Italy. The Biturbo were the only ones available from Maserati between 1990 and 1994 and in various markets, even between 1986 and 1994 (when the Real had not been sold due to emissions problems).

The 430 was the latest version of the 4-door Biturbo, whose technical and design elements were used for the Quattroporte IV. Some of them landed in Australia, with at least one 1995 production model still in use as of 2009.
