League III

League III is the name of the third division in the league system of Romanian football, organized by the Romanian Football Federation. Before the 2006/07 season was known as Divizia C. Format

League III consists of six parallel groups, each with 18 teams. The winners of each division ascend to League II. The last classified of each group descends automatically at the end of the season to the leagues of the counties (Liga IV). In addition, from the 12th classified also descends one of them. To determine the equipment that finally loses the category takes into account the matches obtained in the matches against the best eleven teams of the series. Changes

From season 2014/2015, League III will have three divisions with groups of 20-22 teams.
