Tim Cox began his career as a storyboard designer for commercials and music videos. With his Second World War Short Film Drama Tyger! Tyger! he first attracted attention. In 2001, Cox directed the sci-fi Western The Man With No Eyes, an original concept by the American media company NBCUniversal and the Exposure Studios of the Sci Fi Channels, one of the first projects in which a 24-frame high- Camera was used. Soon afterwards, he directed Creature: It's a Killing Machine ... From Outer Space !, Larva and Mammut three television productions for the Sci Fi Channel. With the theatrical feature film Miss Nobody Cox made a dark crime drama in 2010 with the actors Leslie Bibb, Adam Goldberg and Missi Pyle.
