Theodorus van Ruijven

Theodorus van Ruijven CM (born 22 May 1938 in Rijswijk) is a Dutch clergyman and emeritus Apostolic Vicar of Nekemte. Edit LifeQualtext

Theodorus van Ruijven joined the order community of the Lazarists, took up the profession on 2 September 1957 and received the priestly ordination on 19 March 1964.

John Paul II appointed him to the Apostolic Prefect of Jimma-Bonga on 9 July 1998. Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on July 23, 2009 as Titular Bishop of Utimma and Apostolic Vicar of Nekemte. The Archbishop of Addis Ababa, Berhaneyesus Demerew Souraphiel CM, consecrated him to the bishop on August 30th, Co-conspirators were Abraham Desta, Apostolic Vicar of Meki, and Musie Ghebreghiorghi's OFMCap, Bishop of Emdeber.
