The Second Council of Toledo was a council of the bishops of the Visigoth kingdom of Toledo, celebrated in the city of Toledo on May 17, 527, during the reign of Amalaric. It was presided over by the bishop of Toledo Montano, and Pancarius, Canonius, Paul, and Domitian, whose episcopal offices were not known, and Marciano, who was in Toledo exiled for reasons of faith; Nebrera of Egara and his brother Justus of Urgel arrived after the council was over. Five canons were dealt with concerning matters of ecclesiastical discipline: the age at which clerics could receive minor orders, their obligation to leave the church as heir of their property, and the prohibition of changing church, cohabiting with strange women or marrying women of the family.
