He has placed four times at the American Championships:
Miller participated in the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki. He surpassed the required qualification range of 64 m in the first attempt with a litter over 64.81 m. In the final, he increased significantly and landed just like his countryman Cy Young three litters beyond the 70 m mark:
Miller won the silver medal behind Young. For the successful Finns, only the bronze medal was awarded, although Toivo Hyytiäinen had a distance of more than 70 m in five of his six final appearances (best distance 71.89 m). Weblinks Edit sourcetext
