Walther Alexander Förster (* 4 January 1886 in Mittelherwigsdorf, † 6 June 1946 in Bautzen) was a German municipal politician. He was Lord Mayor of Bautzen in the period of National Socialism from 1933 to 1935 and from 1939 to 1945.
He was the son of Landwirt Reinhold Förster and attended the Realgymnasium in Zittau and the universities in Leipzig and Munich. In 1910 he gave the first and in 1915 the second legal state slut. After the war service, he became a government assistant in 1919, later a state councilor in Radeberg. In 1923 he moved to Bautzen, where he was elected mayor in 1926. In 1933 he was appointed Lord Mayor. He continued this office until 1935. In 1939 he was again charged with this post for Erich Opitz. In 1945, he was relieved of his office. He died in the special camp in Bautzen the following year. Edit source text
