Rodolfo Chávez Carrillo

Arch. Rodolfo Chávez Carrillo was a Mexican politician and governor of the State of Colima from 1955 to 1961. He built a large number of rural schools and highways. During his administration the First Congress of Regional History of Colima was held on August 19, 1957. In this congress the historians Carlos Pizano Saucedo, Jesus Figueroa Torres, José Yáñez Centeno, among others, such as Felipe Sevilla del Río, who presented his work "Provanza de Colima". He died on August 31, 1993 in Tijuana, Baja California.
