Omar Ali Saifuddin III. (September 23, 1916 - September 7, 1986 in Bandar Seri Begawan) was Sultan of Brunei from 1950 to 1967.

Before Sir Ali Saifuddin III. the successor of his older deceased brother Sir Ahmad Tajuddin as Sultan in 1950, he initially worked as a government official in various functions. From 1947 he was a member of the Council of State.
