EOne Music

eOne Music [iːwʌn mju: zɪk] is an American independent label. It was founded in 1987 by Michael Koch as Koch Records (also KOCH Records) and is based in New York City. Since 2005, it is a subsidiary of the Canadian media company Entertainment One. According to his own account, it is the largest independent record label in the United States and had the most albums in the billboard magazine charts in both 2006 and 2007.

On 14 February 2002, the Universal Music Group declared itself ready for the release of data carriers in the European region as "E1 Universal".
