Culleus (unit)


The Culleus, in the sense of sack, was a Roman antique volume and fluid measure, and corresponded to the modern times.

Although the measure was at the top of the dimensional chain, the amphora was the benchmark with 26.04032 liters. The amphora quadrantilis was 1 cubic foot in volume or 80 Roman libra heavy. For the weight pure water was decisive.
