The Alpha-Hochhaus is a residential high-rise in the city of Langen (Hesse). Edit HistoryQual

The Alpha high-rise was built on a site east of the station Langen (Hessen) in the years 1974-76. According to the original plans, which were based on a much larger population growth in the Rhine-Main area, a total of eight residential buildings were to be built on the site; the highest, the Alpha Center, would have reached a total of 35 floors. In fact, only a single high-rise building, now called Alpha-Hochhaus, was built. The rest of the grounds are still empty today. Edit ArchitectureQual

With a height of 87 meters and 27 floors, it is the highest residential high-rise in Hessen and one of the highest nationwide. The Alpha-Hochhaus consists of two residential towers, which are interconnected by a central elevator and stairs shaft. One tower reaches 26, the other 27 floors. The Alpha-Hochhaus has a total of 226 residential units, with a total of approximately 800 people. From the top floor, there is a view that reaches from Hochheim am Main via Frankfurt am Main airport to the Taunushaupt crest. Unlike large-scale residences, the Alpha-Hochhaus is not a social focal point. Single-level Edit source text
