The cow Krista is to be built as a "top model among the ruminants" to the hallmark of Europe's food industry. It was discovered by a young East Friesian farmer (Jörg), who is very committed to this project and the cow Krista. The film is a production of Lichtblick Film and Lichtblick Media in co-production with ZDF, Das kleine Fernsehspiel. The project was developed in cooperation with the Film and Media Foundation NRW, the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung, Nordmedia, the Kuratorium junger deutscher Film and the Filmbüro Bremen.
