László Halmos (10 November 1909 in Nagyvárad, † January 26, 1997 in Győr) was a Hungarian composer and chorus. He is one of the most important church musicians in Hungary.
Halmos lectured as a professor at the Theological College and the State Conservatory in Győr, where he has been working and living since obtaining his diploma. He also worked as choir director at Győr Cathedral. He wrote several hundred works, including choral pieces, songs, chamber music, oratorios, cantatas, fairs, as well as organ and orchestral works.
