The flag of the League of Arab States is a green cloth with the emblem or shield of the Organization placed in its center. The dimensions of this flag are 2: 3.

The emblem of the League is composed of a surmounting crescent (surmounted white) by the inscription in Arabic: "Jama'at ud-Dawlaat il-Arabiyya" ("League of Arab States" ). The crescent and inscription are surrounded by a golden chain of twenty links, one for each member of the League on the date that this flag was adopted. The chain appears inside a crown formed by two branches of laurel represented in the white flag.

The green color and the crescent are two traditional symbols of Islam.
