Barbate lighthouse

The Barbate lighthouse is a lighthouse located at the edge of the sea in the city of Barbate, in the province of Cadiz, Andalusia, Spain. It is managed by the port authority of the port of the bay of Cadiz. History

Its creation was the work of the engineer Eduardo Saavedra. It was illuminated for the first time on July 15, 1862, but in 1926 it was increased its illumination to the needs. Due to the strong winds it was decided to restore it, work of the engineer Carlos Iturrate, finishing the works in 1929.
