Anathalon († around 62) was, according to legend, an early bishop of Milan. Its historical existence is unsecured.
The diocese of Milan is the first bishop of the city to return to the Apostle Barnabas. He had appointed Anathalon as his successor in the seventh year of Emperor Claudius, according to Greek origin. Anathalon is said to have exercised this office until the eighth year of Emperor Nero and also to have missioned in nearby Brescia. To his successor he was to have determined Gaius. The Day of Saint is the 25th of September. Weblinks Edit sourcetext Commons: Anathalon - Collection of pictures, videos and audio files
