The three largest megalithic grave sites of the Neolithic trichterbecherkultur near Lohne, a district of Wietmarschen in the district of Grafschaft Bentheim (Lower Saxony), were the largest carriages at Lohne (also called Großsteingräber near Schepsdorf-Lohne, Scheppsteine or Schloopsteine). They were destroyed in the 19th century. Edit the source text

The graves were on the way from Lingen to Wietmarschen east of the Lohnermühle in a valley. Lohne was part of the municipality of Schepsdorf-Lohne until 1974, and Ernst Sprockhoff is responsible for managing the facilities under this name. Edit source text

The three graves were situated in an east-west row, each about 50 steps (about 40 m) apart. According to Johann Karl Wächter, most of the deck-stones had already been blown some years before 1840. In the following years also the remaining stones were removed and used as a building material in the place. No details are given on alignment, dimensions and type of trench. Edit source text
