Iberia Inc.
Iberia Inc. is a cartoon of Spanish superheroes done in the American style. Created and scripted by Rafael Marín and Carlos Pacheco, Iberia Inc. was created as part of a project for Forum in 1992 that never saw the light. Later it was intended to make a miniseries in Marvel UK (they came to appear as a cameo in Avengers Forever, a miniseries for Marvel in which Carlos Pacheco worked) and ended up being published by the collection Labyrinth of Planet, in 1997. The drawers were Rafa Fonteriz and Jesus Yugo.
Only six numbers (plus a book of fiches and a compilation in album) were published and counts the adventures of a group of contemporary superheroes to the service of the Spanish government: Thunder, Lobisome, Melkart, Aquaviva, Iron Drac, Dolmen, Trasnu and Traka. Juan Pedro Lázaro, formerly the superhero Flechita, in the service of the Francoist government, was the link with the Spanish government. The miniseries also presented another group of Spanish superheroes, Triada Vertice, who would later have their own miniseries.
Iberia Inc. won the Ignotus Award for best audiovisual work in 1997. Bibliography
