Ham and Eggs

Ham and Eggs

Ham and Eggs (English for ham and eggs) is a dish which is mainly known in English-speaking regions and is part of the American Breakfast. It goes back to Edward Bernays, father of public relations. This was engaged in the 1920s by a ham producer, whose sales were declining, to boost sales. Edward Bernays led a survey among doctors, with the result that they prefer a hearty breakfast. The results of this survey he then sent to approximately 5000 doctors with the indication that ham or bacon and eggs represent a hearty breakfast.

For the preparation, cooked ham and eggs are needed. The ham is served in a pan and eggs are given as a fried egg. It is also possible to give the eggs raw to the ham and to finish the dish in the oven. Ham and Eggs are usually served with toast bread. One variant is Bacon and Eggs; here breakfast breakfast is used instead of ham. Edit sourcetext Single-level Edit source text
