Greyhoundz is an experimental Filipino rock band formed in the late 90's in Manila and gained international recognition. Greyhoundz was formed in 1997 at first just wanting to join a local battle of a band contest, along with other comrades that included Allen Cudal. The contest was canceled so we opted for a recording at the DREDD a Missing Club in Manila. Rubio, who belonged to another band that also joined the Club Dredd, before the signing of TJ Brillantes. Unfortunately, on May 6, 2004, a tragic event that occurred was when original members Allen Cudal (also one of his guitarists) died in a car accident. Many followers of the band were surprised during the sudden death of one of the members of the band. In 2004 Pulp SummerSlam, was the last time that the fans could see the band in its complete line of concerts. Despite the tragic event, as a sign of respect for his partner, the group currently functions as one of the 4-piece bands instead of hiring a new member. The name "Greyhoundz" was taken from the old band of Audie Avenido's father.
