Christoph Zülch
Christoph Zülch (born March 5, 1935 in Hamburg) is a German lawyer and was a judge at the Federal Court of Justice from 1978 to 2000. Edit LifeQualtext
Christoph Zülch was promoted in 1964 at the University of Hamburg and completed his legal training in 1966. After that, he worked for a year as a lawyer and lawyer in Bremen. In 1967 he began his judicial career by entering the judicial service of the state of Bremen. In 1969, he was appointed Landgerichtsrat at the District Court of Bremen. He was seconded to the Federal Court of Justice in July 1970 as a researcher and, while still working there, was appointed judge of the Schleswig-Holstein Oberlandesgericht in April 1973. The secondment to the Federal Court of Justice ended in June 1973. In September 1978, he became a judge at the Federal Court of Justice.
Zülch initially belonged to the First Civil Code, which deals with competition law, and to the VIIth Civil Code dealing with civil building law. From 1979 to 1983 he belonged only to the First Senate and was presiding judge in the administration of the Court of Justice. In 1983, he moved to the VIIIth Civil Division of the Federal Court of Justice, which is responsible for disputes arising from the legal areas of purchase law, exchange, residence tenancy law, leasing law and the right of trade representatives. He then joined the VIII Senate until his retirement in 2000. In 1992, he became deputy chairman of the VIII Civil Society, and since October 1997 he belonged to the Grand Senate for Civilian Affairs.
