The Samurai

Osamu Matsuda (April 19, 1966) is a Japanese professional wrestler, best known for his ring name as The Samurai and is also known for his work at New Japan Pro Wrestling. Carrera

Matsuda graduated from high school in 1985 and joined New Japan Pro Wrestling. It debuted a year later and spent some years fighting in the first fights of the billboards. In March of 1991 he went to Mexico, where he adopted a mask and the name of El Samurai. He returned to NJPW in early 1992, and quickly beat Jushin Liger IWGP Junior for the Heavyweight Championship in June.
