The Astir tis Anatolis (Greek Αστήρ της Ανατολής, German star of the East) has been considered one of the oldest journals ever published in Greece since its founding in 1858.

The title is an allusion to Isaiah 60 ELB. It is published by the Synod of the Greek Evangelical Church. It was founded in 1858 by the forerunner of Protestantism in Greece Mikhail Kalopothakis and appeared firstly weekly, then monthly. The magazine was continuously published, with the exception of disruption through the Balkan war and the beginning of the dictatorship in 1967.

The Astir tis Anatolis is a family magazine dealing with theological, everyday and apologetic themes. It is managed by a committee, all employees are volunteers. Weblinks Edit sourcetext
